Our story
We're a family who loves going somewhere. Before we got married, we planned mystery dates for each other with one rule: the date had to be at least an hour away. When our kids were small, almost every day we set off to explore playgrounds, rivers, and new neighborhoods. With time, our adventures expanded across the country and world.
Everywhere we went, we looked for beauty and truth that would connect us with God. Whether we were making a "stillgrimage" to a local church, hiking the Smoky Mountains, deep in the caves of New Mexico, or immersed in the happy chaos of Mardi Gras, we found Him.
In a relentlessly busy life, we discovered that our deepest closeness to each other and God often came when we traveled. Just going somewhere led us to conversations, insights, and prayer that we might otherwise never have had.
We founded Thy Ship to share that gift with others who want to go differently.
